In the previous post (Part 7) I pointed you to the biblical truth that among the first and most significant actions of the Antichrist is to entrench a Peace Treaty with Israel. This Peace Treaty will among other things ensure the safety of Israel in a world continuously opposing them. This Peace Treaty signifies the beginning of the Tribulation.
Once the Peace Treaty is in place and signed by all the relevant parties a time of peace, which is not genuine will cover the earth and the Antichrist will be the central figure on earth and will set in motion a series of events that will be categorised by increasing calamity, sorrow and death. Everything the antichrist will do will be a direct opposition to what Christ has done and does. So, the peace He brings will not be the peace Christ could and would bring.
What are the other references to the Tribulation in the Bible?
1.“the day of the Lord” Isaiah 2:12; 13:6,9; 34:8 (there are many more references for you to investigate).
2.“the time of Jacobs trouble” Jeremiah 30:7. With reference to Israel specifically being tested and called to repentance and accepting of Jesus Christ as Messiah and King for the last time.
3. “a day of darkness” Zephaniah 1:15 Darkness meaning everything that is anti-God, judgment and death.
4.“the day of vengeance of our God” Isaiah 61:2; 63:4 Vengeance on those who opposed Him including the antichrist who will feel God’s final vengeance at the Gog and Magog war where Christ defeats him and his armies with a word from His Mouth.
What is the purpose of the Tribulation?
Its purpose is two-fold:
To end the times of the gentiles Luke 21:24 When something is fulfilled it means it has run its full course and come to an end.
2. To prepare Israel for His Reign as King over them and all other nations during His
Millennial Reign (1000 years) on earth.
Twenty-One Sevens and Three.
Let me now begin to bring into view the 21 Judgments and 3 Woes (Twenty-One Sevens and Three) God will release or pour on the earth that will directly and negatively influence the people on the earth during the Tribulation. These Judgments of God, which I will refer to as Twenty-One Seven and Three are categorized as follows:
1.The 7 Seals.
2.The 7 Trumpets.
A) 3 Woes.
3.The 7 Bowls/Vials.
4.These Seals, Trumpets and Bowls refer to events that directly happen on earth which is brought about by God and NOT the antichrist and of which those alive during the Tribulation will experience.
In conclusion, the Tribulation period, as depicted in the Bible, is a time of significant upheaval and divine judgment. The signing of the Peace Treaty with Israel by the Antichrist marks the beginning of this period, setting in motion a series of events characterized by increasing calamity, sorrow, and death.
The “Twenty-One Sevens and Three” - the 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets, 3 Woes, and 7 Bowls/Vials - represent the divine Judgments that God will pour out on the earth during the Tribulation. These judgments, brought about by God and not the Antichrist, will directly and negatively impact those alive during this time.
The purpose of the Tribulation is twofold: to end the times of the Gentiles and to prepare Israel for Christ’s Millennial Reign on earth. This period is also referred to in the Bible as “the day of the Lord,” “the time of Jacob’s trouble,” “a day of darkness,” and “the day of vengeance of our God.”
As we continue our exploration of the End Times in the upcoming posts, we will delve deeper into the explanation of the “Twenty-One Sevens and Three” and the events that occur in between.
Thank you for joining me on this journey through the complex and profound scriptures of the End Times. Until next time, may your studies bring you closer to understanding and peace.
